Cooling Tower Rebuild, Casting Station 5, Esfahan Steel Company (Sample)

Maintenance & Repair
Project Description

Rebuilding the cooling towers of Water Supply Pump House 17

Cooling towers are among the most common ways of cooling industrial water. Depending on requirements, they are built as concrete, galvanized steel, or fiberglass structures; a fiberglass shell extends the tower’s service life and improves its resistance to water-induced corrosion.

In May 2021, under a project defined by the client, rebuilding began on the cooling towers of Casting Station 5, served by Water Supply Pump House 17 at Esfahan Steel Company. Once the base frame was installed and the walls assembled, all damper components and fan impellers were mounted and the condensers were moved into place; two fan stacks, for fans A and B, were then assembled and installed.
